What a week it's been and now we’ve got the closest recording to Guided by Voices so far - I'm in heaven. The brilliant Pharmacie took a last minute punt on my Monday 12pm slot and boy I'm glad they did. An Indie/Punk band with big hits of Power Pop and Slacker Rock, a band after my own heart.

At just under 2mins and electric performances from all involved, it was the shortest demo recording session so far at around 2hours. Max’s guitar sound is just godly, exactly how a 4-track guitar should sound. The echoes of rock n roll wrapped in pop pastiche and a modernity in Rich’s vocal performance - you get everything a good rock song should be and then it’s over.

They introduced me to a great band (Sharp Pins), aced the performance and gave me hope that power pop still lives on. What a band.
