Now we have Dinnerbone - a captivating alternative band with strong hints of shoegaze and the best 90s staples. Led by Sasha, a dark and talented songwriter, the vision was made whole by Dan, Fin and Austin. A band that has been on my list since Contact Buzz was just a twinkle in my eye, we finally got around to piling into Dan’s bedroom to blast post-rock through his mint speakers and cultivate enough space for each of them to perform.

I love recording drummers who want to experiment. We padded Dan’s snare and toms with tea towels to really dampen the sound. He even added this little tin hat into the mix that you can hear in the build up - very fun! My third time working with Fin, always such a joy to watch him create the most ethereal sound in some situations and then just absolutely shred in others. The song is so dark and mysterious, with Sasha’s vocals haunting, like a wind on the curtains. But in reality, these are some of the nicest, most fun loving groups of friends I’ve worked with, it was a real treat to record with them.
